Cultural indicators in Abu Dhabi: theoretic framework and challenges for their building

Evidence-based decision-making in Abu Dhabi cultural sector is increasingly being influenced by the development of data generation from a coordinated statistical system. The Department Culture and Tourism has increased its support this focus funding new research instruments, including CultureSTATS-AD project. One methodological challenges project consists articulation locally anchored internationally comparable dimensions evolving culture statistics present paper addresses challenge adopting pragmatic approach to vocabulary. practical usages definitions policymakers, academics professionals replicate myriad underlying social processes. We suggest transversal contextual analysis documentation order understand what conceptual, legal contexts each currently used inserted.
